Bible Study
Bible or Scripture Study now takes place in a small group periodically during the year. Each session lasts about an hour and includes reading and reflecting on a passage of Scripture, as well as some input and the opportunity to share thoughts and ask questions.

Children’s Liturgy of the Word
During Sunday Mass, children of primary school age are invited to celebrate the Liturgy of the Word at a level they can understand. Children leave the congregation at the beginning of Mass and return for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Children’s Liturgy takes place during the Sunday 10.30 am Mass at St Benedict’s. It is hoped to introduce Children’s Liturgy at the Saturday 6.00 pm Vigil Mass at St Oswald’s in the near future.

Men’s Group
Meets on the first Saturday of the month at 9.30 am in the sacristy at St Benedict’s for a ‘big breakfast’ and occasional outings.

‘RCIA’ stands for the ‘Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults’. RCIA is the Church’s way of welcoming adults as full members of the Church. If you are an adult who is thinking about Baptism, or if you are baptised but haven’t celebrated Confirmation and/or First Communion, then please contact the Parish Office on 01925 630127.
